Fingerprint Security

At Timeco, we do not keep or store the fingerprints themselves, we merely create a string of data based on a unique shape based on “Minutia Points” on the fingerprint.


For example, this entire string is an example “fingerprint”

Based on the full fingerprint, the clock will pick several points on the print and create a shape based on those “minutia points”. The red shape below would be the only piece of data we have on the print, not the background print itself:

That red shape above is then put into the database as 1’s and 0’s so there would be no possible way to convert that back to an actual print.
