Team Punching

Team punching allows groups of employees to be punched in/out together at the same time, and this can be done by either the Admin and/or Supervisory roles if desired.

If you have been granted access to the Team Punch functionality, this is found from the top right corner, Gear icon, as seen below:

On this screen, you can create and manage your teams. Add New Team is found at the top right.

Define your team name and description (ensure the Status is open):

Clicking on the Employees icon opens a window with a list of all employees that report to the current user/supervisor (historical employees are not listed). Note – you must be the supervisor of the employee for hem to display here.

We also created 3 more teams with different variations of team members.

Now that we have created a few teams, let’s create some punches. Under the Timecard menu tab, we now have a Team Punch icon.

Clicking on Team Punch takes you to this screen.

The Team dropdown lists all your teams and “All” teams, for a combination of all employees. Inactive teams are not shown.

The “All” team is not a team, but this is a reference to all the employees that report to the current user.

The Position dropdown lists all the positions within the company. Please note, this may display the Location, Department, or other “segments” as they exist in the system.

When you select a team, that team’s members appear unchecked. You must check the team members, input the applicable Position, Project, Comments (or other ‘segments’ that apply to your company) and click Submit.

This will effectively record a punch at the current time for these team members.

After the punches have been applied, you will see this screen below.

Notice how the two employees that were checked are now unchecked and highlighted in green, indicating that punches have been saved successfully.
